On January 25, on Student’s Day, the meeting of representatives of the RCSCAA Youth Sector and the Association of African Students of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (ASSAFSTU) was held.
The President of the ASSAFSTU Mougadam Mahamat with his colleagues shared information on the activities of the Association and the future development.
The Association members told about difficulties faced by African students studying in Russia. The ASSAFSTU actively helps them with adaptation to the new environment and integration into the life of Russian students.
The representatives of ASSAFSTU emphasized the deep interest of African students in career development and noted the importance of considering a bill aimed at simplifying the employment of foreign students studying in Russia, as this will give them the opportunity to get practical skills in profession.
The Leader of the RCSCAA Youth Sector Ekaterina Bolgova noted the need to develop cooperation in the cultural and scientific fields.
The meeting participants analyzed the problem of insufficient familiarization of the Russian and African public with historical, cultural and national traditions of each other and discussed possible projects to improve the situation.
