On March 4-11, 2019, RCSCAA Secretary General Khalturina Natalia Vyacheslavovna and RCSCAA Head of Administration Bolgova Ekaterina Dmitrievna, as members of the Eastern European and Central Asian Peace Organizations and Security Think-Tank Leaders’ Joint Delegation took part in the International Program “Strengthening people-to-people exchange and promoting the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative”.
The event was organized by The Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD).
The program was held in Beijing and Guangzhou (Guangdong province) and included thematic seminars, meetings with experts, representatives of enterprises and institutions and visits to historical and economical sites.
Delegates from Russia (represented by the RCSCAA members), Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia met with heads of the CPAPD, scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Guangdong Institute of International Strategy.
The participants discussed the prospects and risks of the “Belt and Road” initiative, and exchanged views on issues of peace and disarmament, friendship and cooperation between peoples.
